On July 31, a RPF constable identified as Chetan Kumar Choudhary open fired from his automatic weapon on the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express killing his senior and three other Muslim passengers. Meantime, a video of a crowd — mostly wearing skull caps — is doing the rounds on social media claiming people from the Muslim community in Jaipur are protesting over the recent killing of three Muslims by a Hindu.
A Facebook user shared this video and wrote, “अपनी आँखों को खोल कर देख लो हिंदूओ जो अभी तक सोये हुए हो यह लोग ट्रेन में जो तीन मुस्लिमों की हत्या हुई थी। उसी के विरोध में जयपुर में प्रोस्टेट कर रहे हैं अगर यह भीड़ हिंदूओं के घर में घुसेगी तो क्या होगा कोई भी नहीं बचेगा क्योंकि यह लोग काटने में विश्वास रखते है मौका है जाग जाओ नहीं तो फिर भगवान् ही तुम्हारा मालिक है.” [English translation: Open your eyes and see Hindus who are still sleeping. These people are protesting against the killing of three Muslims on the train in Jaipur. If this mob enters the house of Hindus then what will happen, no one will be saved because these people believe in cutting. There is a chance, wake up, otherwise, only God will save you.]

Running the keyframes of the video through Reverse Image Search, our NM team came across the same video in a tweet, dated June 11, 2023. The caption of the clip suggests that the viral video is from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Also, the gathering was organised by Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh.
The caption of the video reads: “It is true that ideology never dies, after sacrifices, prisons, executions, if perseverance is shown, these scenes are seen. According to a report of Prothomalo.com, dated June 11, 2023, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has held a rally in Dhaka for the first time in 10 years upon getting verbal permission of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The last time the party organised a rally in Dhaka was at Shapla Chattar on February 4, 2013.
Therefore, it can be concluded that the viral video is from the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami rally held in Dhaka. It has nothing to do with Muslim community in Jaipur protesting over the recent killing of three Muslim men by the RPF constable.
