New Delhi: On the eighth day of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, India’s gold-winning streak continued as shot-putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor secured another impressive gold medal for the nation.

Toor has once again clinched the top spot in the men’s shot-put event, this time with a remarkable throw of 20.36 metres. This remarkable victory marks his second consecutive gold medal at the Asian Games.
Previously, in the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, he secured the top honour with an astonishing best throw of 20.75 metres.
As of now, India is in fourth place in the medal standings at the 19th Asian Games, with a total of 44 medals, including 12 gold, 16 silver, and 16 bronze medals in India’s tally.
