New Delhi: The Nepali Embassy in Israel reported that at least 10 Nepalese students were killed in the ongoing attack on Israel by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, according to news agency ANI on Sunday.
The violent conflict between the Israeli military and the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas has resulted in a devastating toll, with over 1,000 casualties and more than 2,200 individuals sustaining injuries.
Over 700 people have been killed since the unexpected attack by Hamas on Saturday morning. In response, Israel’s counterattacks have resulted in the death of 370 people in Palestine.
The casualties in Israel contribute to Hamas taking hostage several citizens, including women and children. According to leaders of Hamas, the count of Israeli prisoners in their custody is ‘several times greater’ than dozens. They assert that the group holds a sufficient number of captives to compel Israel to release all Palestinian prisoners from its jails.
Hamas militants launched an extensive surprise attack on Israel last Saturday, unleashing a massive barrage of rockets from the Gaza Strip. Considered one of the most significant attacks on Israel in recent years, Hamas fired over 5,000 rockets from Gaza towards Israel.
In response to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s declaration in a video statement on Saturday, stating, “We are at war, and we will win,” Israeli forces launched military offensives towards Gaza. Netanyahu added, “Our enemy will face a price of a magnitude it has never experienced.”
Israel has initiated ‘Operation Iron Swords’ against Hamas following the declaration of a ‘state of war.’ A fierce conflict is underway in both Israel and the Gaza Strip.
