Congress Releases First List Of Candidates For Telangana Assembly Election

New Delhi: Congress unveiled its inaugural list of 55 candidates for the upcoming Telangana assembly elections scheduled for November 30.

Congress State President and Member of Parliament, Revanth Reddy, is set to make his bid for the Kodangal Assembly constituency, while Adam Santosh Kumar will be contesting for victory in the Secunderabad region.

Earlier, the Election Commission of India (ECI) officially declared that the Telangana Assembly elections will be held on November 30.

Telangana is set to witness a triangular contest between the BJP, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and the Congress in the upcoming assembly election.

In the previous Assembly election held in 2018, BRS managed to win 88 seats out of 119 and had a dominant vote share of 47.4 percent. Congress came in a distant second with 19 seats. Its vote share was 28.7 percent.
