The guests of Koffee With Karan’s second episode were two unconventional sibling duo Sunny and Bobby Deol. Well, it’s a rare sight to see the two undisputable Deols come together on a couch, in that case one can expect a lot of never seen before moments or never heard before anecdotes. And this episode was just that.

Gadar 2’s mammoth success: The episode began with addressing the mammoth successs of Gadar 2 and how Sunny Deol was overwhelmed by the love that this film received and how everything felt unreal to him.
Bobby Deol’s 2.0 version: Later on Karan Johar talked about how Bobby Deol has become an internet sensation off-late and highlighted his group of admirers also known as ‘Boobians’.
Deol brother’s journey in the industry: With Sunny Deol’s blockbuster comeback and Bobby Deol’s OTT success and a new avatar to be seen in Animal, KJo asked the two brothers about their highs a lows in the industry. Answering that, Sunny Deol shared things became difficult for him after the success of Gadar 1 and he struggled to find his way. Whereas, reflecting on the same Bobby Deol shared about his lowest low, when he slipped into depression because of no luck in the industry. The actor shared how a comment from his son helped him bounce back, and then he started reaching out to people for work.
Deol brother’s take on nepotism: When asked by KJo what do they think about nepotism, since the two are themselves starkids, Sunny shared that whereever we are it is because of our talent, whereas as Bobby said, ‘we didn’t choose our parents, we were blessed to be born to them’. He also talked about his career graph despite being born to a bonafide Bollywood superstar.
Gadar 2 and OMG 2 clash: Further in the episode, Sunny also shared how he reached out to Akshay Kumar to postpone the release of latter’s OMG 2, as Sunny was looking forward to a massive comeback after a long years of wait.
Gadar 2’s success party: A last minute thought turned into star studded affair, attended by whose and who of Bollywood. Sunny Deol shared, it was during this party Aamir Khan hinted that he wants to work with him in a movie. And now Aamir is producing Lahore 1947 with Sunny Deol in it.
Salman’s advice to Bobby Deol: Much later in the episode Bobby shared about the bond he and Salman share and how they call each other ‘maamu’, and also an advice given to him by Salman Khan. Salmaan apparently shared he piggybacked on Sunny’s and Sanjay Dutt’s career when he saw a downfall. And the big-hearted that Salman is, he did the same for Bobby when he offered him a role in Race franchise.
‘Aww-dorable’ family moment: Things took a sweeter turn when other handsome hunks of the Deol family had something to share about the brothers. It was during this segment, that the world got to know about Sunny Deol’s obsession with soft toys, especially with teddy bears.
Rocky rapid fire round: The highlight of any KWK’s episode is it’s rapid fire round, because it is in this segment where audiences get all the masala that they need, and Sunny Deol gave just that. In a segment where he had to answer what one thing he likes and one thing he dislikes about his peers, for SRK he shared he liked how hardworking but how he’s made ‘actors a commodity’. For Akshay Kumar, the actor said he liked his punctuality but disliked how he does so many movies every year. For Salman, the actor said he liked his big heart but disliked how he is always trying to make everyone a bodybuilder.
