Noida: Police arrested five people in Noida for supplying snakes and their venom to a rave party. The police allege the involvement of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav. The police claim that the party was organised by Yadav.
However, the five people arrested informed the police that these rave parties were organised at multiple locations in Delhi and the adjoining areas as well. They further added that Elvish used these snakes to shoot content for Instagram and YouTube.
They also said that the party had some foreign nationals as well, and the snake venoms were consumed by the people attending the party.
As per the FIR in the case, six people have been named including Elvish Yadav. According to a media report, the officials said, ‘Five of the six accused have been taken into custody, however, Elvish Yadav has not been arrested yet’.
They also added, ‘Nine snakes, including five cobras, and snake venom was recovered from the accused’.
The arrests in the case were made after a complaint by an animal welfare NGO, PFA, run by BJP’s Maneka Gandhi was filed. Maneka Gandhi has also openly called out for Elvish Yadav’s arrest.
She said, ‘Elvish Yadav should be arrested immediately. This is a grade-I crime – that means seven years in jail. PFA laid a trap and caught these people. He uses endangered species of snakes in his videos’.
Meanwhile, Elvish has denied all the claims and has issued a statement. He said, ‘When I woke up in the morning, I saw reports that I have been arrested, and I was caught with intoxicating substances. All these reports and charges against me are fake’.
