Tiger 3 Dominates Box Office; Enters ₹100 Crores Club In Just Two Days

Date:

Salman Khan’s latest thriller, “Tiger 3,” roared into the box office, crossing the 100 crore mark in just two days. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reports that the film “went into overdrive” on Monday, collecting ₹58 crore, bringing the total domestic box office collection to ₹101 crore.

This marks the third Hindi film this year to achieve the 100 crore milestone in two days, joining the ranks of Shah Rukh Khan’s releases, “Pathaan” and “Jawan.” “Tiger 3” had a Diwali release, a rare occurrence in the last decade for a Hindi film. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprise their roles as spies Avinash Singh Rathore (Tiger) and Zoya.

Adarsh highlighted the film’s stellar performance on Day 2: “Tiger 3 went on overdrive on Day 2 in Delhi, UP, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. The film had underperformed in some circuits on Day 1, but the extraordinary growth on Day 2 has brought the film back on track.”

Providing insight into the film’s records, Adarsh noted, “Tiger 3 set two records on Day 1 – it gave Salman Khan his biggest opening as well as set a Diwali record.” He emphasised the significance of the film’s release on Diwali, traditionally a challenging time for the box office due to festive celebrations.

Describing the film as a “game changer,” Adarsh pointed out, “While no major Hindi film has released on Diwali Day in more than a decade, Tiger 3 emerges a game changer. Decimates all BO records for Diwali Day.”

Salman Khan’s top five openers now include “Tiger 3,” “Bharat,” “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,” “Sultan,” and “Tiger Zinda Hai.” “Tiger 3” is a sequel to the 2017 hit “Tiger Zinda Hai” and is part of YRF’s spy universe, which includes characters from Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan” and Hrithik Roshan’s “War.”
