With an open keyword search, our team traced a report by Business Times, dated November 18, 2023. As per the report, Mira Murati is born in Albania and educated in Canada. She is a mechanical engineer by profession. During her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College, she developed a hybrid race car. She was with Tesla, where she played a key role in the development of the Model X car. She also worked in a start-up called Leap Motion that developed a computing system to track hand and finger motions. In 2018, she joined OpenAI.
According to a report by The New York Times, dated November 17, 2023, born in an Albanian family, Mira left Albania at the age of 16 after receiving a scholarship to attend an international school in Vancouver, Canada. She later obtained an engineering degree from Dartmouth and eventually moved to San Francisco.
Another report claims that the Mira was born in Vlora, Albania, in 1987. And the surname Murati is quite common among the Albanians.
Thus, it is evident from the above information that Mira Murati was born in Albania, NOT an Indian origin.
