IPL 2024 Auction: Players List; Who Got Whom

New Delhi: The stage was set ablaze at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Tuesday as the IPL 2024 auction witnessed a spectacle of surprise biddings. In an intense battle for supremacy, the 10 IPL franchises spared no expense to clinch coveted top-tier players for their squads.

Chennai Super Kings:

New Zealand star batsman Daryl Mitchell was sold to the Chennai Super Kings for a hefty price of Rs 14 crore. New Zealand batsman Rachin Ravindra, who had a fantastic ODI World Cup earlier this year, has been picked by the Chennai Super Kings for Rs 1.8 crore. CSK also bagged the Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur for Rs 4 crore. Another big buy for CSK was Sameer Rizvi who was bought for Rs 8.4 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore. Indian wicketkeeper batsman KS Bharat and young Indian pacer Chetan Sakariya were bought by KKR for Rs 50 lakh each. Angkrish Raghuvanshi bought by KKR for Rs 20 lakh.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Australian skipper Pat Cummins broke the roof as he became the second costliest player in the history of the Indian Premier League when he was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 20.50 crore. Australian star batsman Travis Head, who produced remarkable performances in the ODI World Cup final earlier this year, was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a price tag of 6.8 crore.

Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga was bought by SRH for Rs 1.5 crore, while Indian pacer Jaydev Unadkat was bought by SRH for Rs 1.6 crore. Akash Singh bought by SRH for Rs 20 lakh

Delhi Capitals:

Harry Brook who was bought by SRH for 13.25 crore in the last auction has now been acquired by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 4 crore. Kumar Kushagra bought by DC for Rs 7.2 crore. South African wicketkeeper batsman Tristan Stubbs was bought by DC for Rs 50 lakh. Ricky Bhui and Rasikh Dar both bought by DC for Rs 20 lakh each.

Mumbai Indians:

South African quickie Gerald Coetzee was bought by MI for Rs 5 crore. Sri Lankan fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka was bought by MI for Rs 4.6 crore. Shreyas Gopal bought by MI for Rs 20 lakh.

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 11.5 crore. Yash Dayal bought by RCB for Rs 5 crore.

Gujarat Titans:

Uncapped Indian player Shahrukh Khan was bought by GT for Rs 7.4 crore. Indian Pacer Umesh Yadav was bought by GT for Rs 5.8 crore. Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai was bought by GT for his base price of Rs 50 lakh. Sushant Mishra bought by GT for Rs 2.2 crore. Kartik Tyagi bought for Rs 60 lakh. Manav Suthar bought for Rs 20 lakh.

Punjab Kings:

Harshal Patel, the top wicket-taker of IPL 2021, clinched a staggering ₹11.75 crore deal with Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024 auction, marking the highest Indian purchase yet. While the England pacer Chris Woakes was bought by PBKS to Rs 4.2 crore.

Lucknow Super Giants:

Shivam Mavi bought by LSG for Rs 6.4 crore, M Siddharth bought by LSG for Rs 2.4 crore, while Arshin Kulkarni was bought for Rs 20 lakh. David Willey bought for Rs 2 crore.

Rajasthan Royals:

RR secured Rovman Powell, sealing the deal at a substantial Rs 7.40 crore, Shubham Dubey bought by RR for Rs 5.8 crore, while English player Tom Kohler-Cadmore was bought by RR for Rs 40 lakh
