Date:

A video showing a child supplying food through a small hole in a wall is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim that this Egyptian boy has delivered over 1,000 loaves to the residents of Gaza through a hole in the Egypt and Gaza border wall.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team identified a Facebook post on the official channel of Palestine News Network, dated December 10, 2015. The video matches with the viral clip informing that these children were smuggling famous Jerusalem bread “Ka’ek” to the occupied West Bank through holes in the Israeli apartheid wall because the soldiers won’t let them cross it.

Similar video was also found on the video streaming platform — Dailymotion. This video was published on December 22, 2015, informing that how bread was smuggled from Jerusalem to West Bank. This confirms that neither the video is related to the ongoing Israel-Palestine war, nor it is from Gaza.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming an Egyptian boy was providing bread to the residents of Gaza through a hole in the Egypt and Gaza border wall, is false.
