Radhika Apte recounted a distressing airport incident today, where she, along with fellow passengers, found themselves confined in the aerobridge due to a flight delay. The actor refrained from specifying the city or airline involved.
Sharing visuals on Instagram, the ‘Sacred Games’ star described how passengers were ushered into the aerobridge only to be locked in by airline staff after a prolonged delay.
‘My flight was scheduled for 8:30 AM. It’s now 10:50 AM, and we’re still grounded. Despite announcing boarding, the airline locked all passengers inside the aerobridge,’ she shared.
Passengers, including those with small children and elderly individuals, were left stranded for over an hour with unresponsive security and clueless staff, as per Apte.
The Bollywood actress shared a clip portraying several passengers behind a sealed glass door, some attempting to communicate with the security personnel in the aerobridge.
Apte, 38, revealed that the airline notified passengers of being stuck for at least another hour, sharing her frustration of being locked in without access to water or restrooms until at least 12 PM.
She disclosed that the airline staff attributed the delay to a crew change, indicating that the new staff had not yet arrived.
‘Their crew hasn’t boarded. Despite the crew change, they’re awaiting the new team with no clarity on their arrival, leaving us uncertain about how much longer we’ll be confined. I briefly escaped to talk to a staff member outside, who insisted there was no issue or delay,’ the actress further added.
Radhika Apte, known for her roles in ‘Sacred Games,’ ‘Shor In the City,’ ‘Badlapur,’ ‘Andhadhun,’ ‘PadMan,’ and ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man,’ recently made a cameo appearance in the film ‘Merry Christmas,’ starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead.
