Against this backdrop, a viral visual, claiming to show Govil arriving in Ayodhya, is doing the rounds on social media.

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes led, the NM team spotted a YouTube video on an Indian entertainment company’s channel, dated November 4, 2022, with a title: Shri Ram Arun Govil With Wife Sreelekha Govil #shorts. The video matches with the viral clip and given that it is from 2022, it cannot be linked to the recent Ayodhya Temple inauguration.
Searching further, we found the same video uploaded on the official and verified YouTube channel of Bollywood Chronicle on the same day as well. Here we get to know that Govil attended the screening of Rhea Chakraborty’s Double XL with his wife in Mumbai. The video was taken on his arrival at the screening.
The same video was also posted on the Facebook account of an Indian media platform, Movified, on November 4, 2022, with a caption that corroborates the claims made above.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral image, claiming to show Arun Govil at the Ram temple inauguration in Ayodhya, is false.
