US: Techie Made One Crore By Secretly Working Two Remote Jobs

Date:

Arizona: Adam (name changed), a millennial techie, made roughly $85,000 (Rs 70 lakh) annually and owed $118,000 (Rs 98 lakh) in school loans. However, he succeeded in more than doubling his yearly salary by the end of the year, reaching over $170,000 (about Rs 1 crore), according to Business Insider. He was able to drastically lower his loan balance (Rs 42 lakh) in less than a year thanks to this.

Adam, an Arizona security risk specialist, wasn’t happy with the additional cash he was getting from meal delivery services. According to Business Insider, he decided to add a remote job to his full-time position to increase his income. He had been looking for a way to secretly manage several distant jobs at the same time, and in December of that year, he came across a YouTube video that gave him the idea.

In an interview with a newspaper, he thanked God for landing his second remote job in February, saying he knew right once he could handle it, with his main goals being to double his salary and pay off his student loans in two years. In an interview with the newspaper, he thanked them for helping him land his second remote job in February.

Adam claimed that a recruiter got in touch with him on LinkedIn regarding a position for which his profile indicated he would be a good fit. He applied for the job in less than two weeks, went through two interviews, and received an offer. Adam added that working two jobs allowed him to save enough money for a four-month emergency fund and help out some friends financially in addition to paying back his student loans. He works between thirty and sixty hours a week, and he thinks this arrangement is viable.

Adam also offers some guidance to professionals who want to earn extra money by moonlighting. Setting the calendars in alignment is the first piece of advice. He advised us to schedule regular meetings at one employment into the calendar at the other, and vice versa.

The second piece of advice is to not take on more than you can handle and to not finish things too quickly. He advised us to spread out our training and strike a balance between speed and efficiency. He also mentioned that we shouldn’t constantly try to be the hero by taking on more tasks. Finally, he advised overworked people to make use of their sick days if they start to feel overburdened.

Adam said that there are numerous reasons to take sick days, such as not getting enough sleep, attending a doctor’s visit, or having a mental health day. Additionally, he stated that we don’t have to defend our use of sick days to anyone.
