FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.

Running the screenshots of the viral video through Reverse Image Search, the NM team could not find any significant result. However, using the Yandex Reverse Image Search, we found these screenshots in a news article on the Indonesian news website koranmalut.co.id, dated October 12, 2023. As per the news, the screenshots were from a police simulation exercise demonstrating preparations for the 2024 Indonesian election.

When we researched police simulations, we discovered that they are mock drill exercises that assess preparedness for various scenarios. We found numerous videos and news articles about these exercises in Indonesia.

Further, we searched online but found no recent credible media report stating any such clash between the farmers and the police. Therefore, the viral claim is false.
