The popular opinion of people is that Chitkul in Himachal Pradesh is the last village in India. Chitkul is the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border but officially the last recognised Indian village is Mana in Uttarakhand.
Mana, in Chamoli district, is located at an elevation of 3200 meters and the village lies on the banks of Saraswati river. It is at a distance of 5 km from the famous Hindu pilgrimage centre Badrinath. The village lies just 24 km from the Indo-China border and is officially the last village in India.

Neelkanth Peak is one of the major attraction points here at an altitude of 6597 ft above sea level.

Vyas Gufa is named after Ved Vyas, the renowned scholar is a cave where Ved Vyas meditated.

How to reach Mana
You can reach Mana from either Rishikesh or Haridwar. It is only 5 km away from Badrinath. The nearest railhead is at Haridwar and one can take a taxi or public transport to reach Mana.
