#ShameOnICC: Cricket fans worIdwide blast ICC after another World Cup washout

Date:

The world cup match between India and New Zealand in Nottingham has been cancelled due to heavy rain. It is the fourth match that has been cancelled in the tournament.

The official cricket world cup twitter handle tweeted- “Unfortunately, India’s #CWC19 game against New Zealand has been called off due to the rain. The points have been shared. #TeamIndia | #BackTheBlackcaps”

This has sent the media into turmoil with the hashtag #ShameOnICC trending on twitter. Tweets filled with anger and frustration are being tweeted by Cricket fans all across the globe.

Here’s how Twitterati reacted-

Given England’s weather conditions, ICC should have prepared better while selecting days for the matches and should have reserved a day where the forecast was clear but failed to do so on their part, disappointing thousands of fans everywhere.

Even though the rain has ruined the world cup match and the visual pleasure of fans of viewing the match that they were so excited to watch.

The ICC is protected by rain insurance cover, which means it will be compensated for the refunds it is required to pay to ticket holders as applicable.
