FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the viral picture, we found the claim attached to it to be false.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search and keywords such as ‘Amit Shah’, ‘Ravi Shankar Prasad’ etc through a Google search, we found the full video of Ravi Shankar Prasad’s particular speech in the parliament, on Rajya Sabha’s verified YouTube Channel.

We analysed the whole video while was uploaded on January 9th, 2019 and found that Amit Shah didn’t sleep in the Rajya Sabha.

Though Shah can be seen blinking and looking down reading, that’s when the screenshot might have been taken which is being shared claiming that Shah was sleeping in the upper house of the Parliament.

Hence, this proves that claim attached with the picture is FAKE.
