A picture post is making rounds on social media in which a quote is attributed to veteran politician Lal Krishan Advani. The BJP supremo is quoted saying that he has worked hard to build BJP, PM Modi should build a water kiosk after himself.

The text in Hindi attributed to Advani read: “मेरे नाम का एक पानी का प्याऊ ही बना दो मोदी जी मैंने बहुत मेहनत की है BJP को बनाने में”

(Translation: At least make a water kiosk in my name Modi ji, I have worked very hard to make BJP)

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, we found it to be FAKE.

On putting keywords such as ‘Lal Krishna Advani’, ‘BJP’, ‘Water Kiosk’, ‘PM Modi’ through a Google search, we didn’t find any reliable source to confirm the news.

Moreover, such demand by LK Advani would have been national news but none of the news organisation or news agency covered anything close to this.

Hence, in conclusion, it is clear that the viral quote attributed to LK Advani is FAKE.
