Fact Check: This viral picture is NOT of Coronavirus victims in Pakistan

A picture is being shared on social media in which people can be seen lying on a cot and saline bottles can be seen hanging on a rope. Claims are being made that this picture is of Coronavirus victims in Pakistan.

“जो यहाँ पाकिस्तान जिंदाबाद के नारे लगाते है सोचा उनको दिखा दूं पाकिस्तान का कॅरोना आइसोलेशन वार्ड” the caption read.

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim to be false.

On putting the image through Reverse Image Search, we found a tweet dated June 24, 2018, featuring this image.

A Facebook user, Sajida Ahmad Langah PTI, uploaded the same picture on June 25, 2018, stating that the picture is from Sindh (Pakistan).

NewsMobile independently couldn’t verify the location and origin of the picture. However, the above information proves that the picture is old and it is not related to the Coronavirus pandemic.
