COVID-19: Door to door survey to be conducted in Gurugram

The Haryana Government has decided to conduct a door to door survey in Gurugram in the wake of growing COVID-19 spread. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the Haryana Additional Chief Secretary VS Kundu, who is the state nodal officer dealing with the Coronavirus crisis.

The meeting was also attended by the Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri and officers of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG).

The survey will be conducted at all three levels-zonal, sectoral and the unit level.

The staff involved in the survey have been issued detailed guidelines regarding their personal safety and amongst the guidelines that have been included are wearing of Personal Protection Equipment’s, maintaining social distancing and staying away from all objects including door bells.

The wearing of masks by these survey teams have been made compulsory.

The members have also been asked to report to the district authorities if any suspicious case is found during this door to door survey.

People with high fever, dry cough and fatigue have been identified as those with possible symptoms of the virus.

During this survey, all authorities including the Police, Municipal authorities, Nagar Parishad and Panchayats will coordinate.

The Gurugram district has reported a total number of 30 cases out of which 9 have recovered. Out of this 10 have been associated with the Tableeghi Jamaat gathering in Delhi. These ten individuals have been quarantined at a medical college in the neighbouring district of Nuh.
