RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat visited actor Mithun Chakraborty at his Mumbai residence. Bhagwat arrived at the actor’s bungalow in the Madh area early this morning. The meeting has triggered speculations about the actor rejoining politics.
The 70-year-old film star said he had a “spiritual relationship” with Mohan Bhagwat.
“I have a spiritual relation with him. It is a very deep spiritual relation. There was a plan that he would come to my home when he visits Mumbai. It so happened that I returned to Mumbai from Lucknow after a shoot and he too is in Mumbai. So ‘jud gaye hum (we connected)’,” said the actor.

The veteran actor still has a huge fan base in his home state, though he stays in Mumbai. The continuous exodus of TMC leaders has created havoc in Bengal politics.
Many close aides of CM Mamata Banerjee have joined BJP ahead of the state elections. Chakraborty’s closeness with the RSS chief may give nightmares to the TMC supremo.
Earlier on Sunday, West Bengal President Dilip Ghosh asserted that change will happen and the BJP shall come to power in the state after the elections.
Elections for 294 Assembly seats in West Bengal are likely to take place in April-May this year.
