A bizarre incident came in light in Auraiya district of UP where a girl refused to marry groom on the wedding day because he was unable to read without his glasses on.
“My parents were deceived, they did not tell us about the weak eye sight of the boy, I have called off the wedding because he cannot do anything without glasses,” bride Archana told ANI.

The groom failed the test and Archana’s family on the spot decided to call off the wedding and asked the groom’s family to give back the cash and motorcycle that was given as dowry and also the many that was spent from their side in the wedding.
The bride’s father Arjun Singh told that “I had no idea that the groom’s eyesight was weak. My daughter, on knowing the fact, decided to call of the wedding.”
The police from Auraiya, where the FIR was filed also tried to sort the matter through mutual understanding of both the families but the groom’s side did not come.
