IPL 2022: LSG And RCB To Clash In Do-Or-Die Eliminator

Date:

Kolkata: Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Supergiants will clash with each other in a do-or-die match of Eliminator Round in the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday.

After making a thrilling last-minute entry into the top four of the points table and qualifying for the playoffs, RCB will be looking to win and move ahead to the next round of eliminators and finally to the ultimate match of the Finale against Gujarat Titans.

Virat Kohli is back in form with an outstanding inning by scoring 73 runs, leading his team to a comfortable victory against the dominant Gujarat Titans. Glenn Maxwell stamped his authority in the last match after a power-packed performance of 40 runs in just 18 deliveries. With players like Dinesh Karthik and Skipper Faf du Plessis, RCB will be looking to score big and secure a win in this game.

Lucknow Supergiants need to continue the momentum that they created in the last game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Skipper KL Rahul and Opener Quinton de Kock bolted a partnership of 210 runs with Quinton de Kock scoring a century and KL Rahul contributing 68 runs.

Mohsin Khan and Marcus Stoinis managed to secure three wickets each in the last game. However, the bowling attack failed to execute plans in the death overs and gave away crucial runs leading to a close last-over encounter against KKR. While the team managed to come out victorious, skipper KL Rahul will be looking to use bowlers tactically in the eliminator round keeping in mind players like Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell who can crumble the bowling attack in the death overs.
