Why everyone needs a friend like Salman Khan

Date:

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is popularly known for his kind and generous attitude. Be it helping a poor child or not charging whooping fees for a film. The actor has proved time and again his ‘being human’ side.

Now, according to recent report, the actor has waived off his fee for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

An industry insider quoted, “Anybody working with Salman has to also agree to the deal he has with the channel (500 crore deal with Star India) as they hold the exclusive rights to screen his films until 2017. Sooraj and Salman were reuniting after a 15 year gap so Salman is making sure his deal with the channel does not get in the way of the film. There discussed this and Sooraj has been very accomodating about the same. If Salman didn’t have the deal, the satellite rights of PRDP could have probably fetched the director-producer a higher price and Salman is aware of this. To make up for it, in his own way, he decided to not charge a single penny. He has waived off his entire fee as he wants the film to make some profit at the box-office.”

The film which brings together Sallu bhai and director Sooraj Barjatya after a gap of 15 years will release this Diwali, November.

Also as reported earlier, the director has roped in James Bond action director Greg Powell for the film. Powell will reportedly work with Bollywood action director Kaushal Moses in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

Salman Khan will be seen in a double role in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. He will essay the role of a prince as well as a commoner in the film. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Armaan Kohli and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
