Date:

A picture of a huge mace, bow and arrow, placed in the middle of a circular intersection is being shared on social media with a claim that it is a newly constructed sculpture in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

The image was captioned, “अयोध्या में निर्मित दिव्य चौराहा.” (Translation: Divine intersection built in Ayodhya)

Here’s the link to the above post.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the post to be false.

We ran the image through Reverse Image Search and found a post from 2020, where a Facebook user shared the same image linking it to ‘intersection of Harani Road in Vadodara’.

We searched and found the same image on a site called Dreamstime and the caption read, “Circle images in Vadodara city.”

We then searched on Google Maps and found multiple pictures of the ‘Gada Circle‘ in Vadodara.

We also found the street view of the location.

Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the picture is from Vadodara, Gujarat, and not Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
