Singhal’s demise was confirmed by Praveen Togadia. “Singhal died at 2.24 PM at Medanta Medicity hospital in Gurgaon,” Togadia said.
Singhal was admitted to Medanta on October 20 after his condition deteriorated in Allahabad and was flown in to the national capital in air ambulance.

Doctors at Medanta had confirmed on Monday that Singhal’s condition was serious because of which he was put on a life support system in the Intensive Care Unit.
Singhal had served as the VHP president for over 20 years until he was replaced by Praveen Togadia in December 2011 due to deteriorating physical health.
PM Modi has condoled his death and has said that his passing away is a deep personal loss.
