The man behind training the beautiful tiger in Life of Pi has been caught on camera whipping a tiger.
PETA has released a video in which, Michael Hackenberger, the trainer admits that he enjoys whipping the animal. He hits the tiger so mercilessly that anyone would cry their heart out watching this video.
But Hackenberger said the footage was taken out of context.
“PETA, once again, is lying,” Hackenberger said, in a 31-minute video response posted online. “They’re zealots and all they want to do is get their perverted, twisted message out there.”
Hackenberger challenged the animal rights group to release all its footage from the training session last week.
