When it comes to Valentine’s Day, there is never too much that can be done to show your loved ones how they mean the world to you. Some of us settle for just a regular Valentine card, or flowers and candy, others would travel across the globe for a romantic break with their lover.
Of course, it would be one of the romantic things ever, since we’re speaking about island of love. In the world there are over 22,000 islands, and of all these, Islands Galesnjak, off the coast of Croatia, resembles the shape of the heart.
The owner of Galesnjak, a small deserted island, admits that he always thought that his property resembled a heart, but it wasn’t until it made it in Google Earth that he truly became convinced of it.
Now, he says, after so many people have seen the island (whose name has officially been changed to a more appropriate Lovers’ Island), he is assaulted daily with thousands of requests for romantic breaks there, especially with Valentine’s Day just two months away.
“It has been incredible. We think it is the most perfect heart-shaped island in the world. Nobody lives there, so if lovers really do want to spend time alone it’s the perfect desert island.”
