The 12th South Asian Games is expected to be the biggest international multi-sporting extravaganza in the North-Eastern region, scheduled to be held in Guwahati and Shillong from February 5 to 16.
Total number of 1505 men and 1167 women athletes would battle it out in the 23-discipline event.
The participating nations include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The participating nations have provided the list of their total participants, officials, senior officials and other support staff.
Host India will have a total number of 519 athletes (275 men, 244 women) along with 176 officials (108 men, 68 women).
Apart from the athletes and the officials, the participating nations would also be sending a number of senior officials.
