Washington: Office Online users will now be able to start a chat while working on Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word documents.
Microsoft says users will be able to continue any chats started in Office Online on Skype on the desktop or their smartphone after the file is closed.
With the addition of this new feature, Microsoft intends to make its services into cross-platform tools. However, the new feature is not yet available in Excel or OneNote Online, the report said.
