Akhilesh shuts school as birthday gift to father

Rampur: UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is celebrating his father Former UP CM and SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s 75th birthday in Rampur—the stronghold of SP leader Azam Khan—with fanfare.
 
Akhilesh Yadav has invited the entire Yadav clan to attend his father’s birthday.
 
The entire list of invitees is touted to be big enough that all the hotels in Rampur do not have enough hotel rooms to accommodate the guests.
 
Almost a dozen schools in Rampur have been asked to declare holiday for two days as some school buildings have been taken for accommodating the security forces which is said to include two SP rank officers, 27 deputy SPs and 1,200 constables.
 
Mulayam will ride a vintage Victorian buggy, imported from London, to Jauhar University where cultural programmes by singer Hansraj Hans and Sabri Brothers are to be held.
 
Rampur City Magistrate Ram Singh said ministers will be put up at Modi and Opel hotels in Rampur while another 10 hotels have also been booked for other VIP guests.
 
He said the artists will stay at Moradabad while MP, MLAs and chairmen and members of commissions will stay in Bareilly.
 
The SP supremo will cut a 75-feet long cake at the stroke of the midnight. On November 22, Mulayam will lay the foundation stone of a medical college in the city.
