Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan makes Bollywood comeback

Mumbai, Aug 24 (PTI) Well-known classical singer UstadGhulam Mustafa Khan has made a comeback to Hindi filmsafter two decades with a song in "31 October", based on theassassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The Padma Shri recipient bowed out of B-Town in 1993,his last track being "Is Se Jyada Dukh Na Koi" from "ShreemaanAashique". "The song is dedicated to God and humanity. I was sotouched by the film’s subject that I decided to sing thetrack. It’s my tribute to those who lost their lives in 1984(riots)," Khan said in a statement issued here. It was writer-producer Harry Sachdeva’s determinationto convince Khan to sing a song for "31st October" featuringSoha Ali Khan and Vir Das. "When we shared the subject of ’31st October’ withUstad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, he felt for the sensitivity of thesubject and as a tribute to many who lost their lives in 1984,he agreed to sing a song for the film," Harry said.
