‘Single South Asian country is spreading terrorism in the region,’ says PM Modi

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the indirect attack on Pakistan on last day of the G20 Summit in China’s Hangzhou, without taking the name, he targeted Pakistan saying ‘terrorism was being spread by a single South Asian country.’
PM Modi said “Growing forces of violence and terror pose a fundamental challenge. There are some nations that use it as an instrument of state policy,”
“Indeed, one single nation in South Asia is spreading these agents of terror in the countries of our region,” he said,
PM also added “India has a policy of zero tolerance to terrorism. Because anything less than that is not enough. For us, a terrorist is a terrorist,”
PM Modi also asked the international association to discuss and work in unity and necessity to fight terrorism. “Those who sponsor and support terrorism must be isolated and sanctioned, not rewarded,” he said.
This was the second time when PM Modi attacked Pakistan, on the issue of Terrorism without taking its name.
These remarks also indicated India’s effort and struggle to press the global community for adopting a clear stand on terrorism.
