Out of 212 institutions, the Board has so far receivedreports about 150 schools and colleges, and of these theaffiliation of 88 institutions has been cancelled, he said. Kishore, however, made it clear that students studyingin schools and colleges, which have been suspended, would beadmitted to nearby schools in special circumstances. He said buildings of the schools were not constructedas per the criteria, besides there were shortcomings withregard to the appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff. Most of the schools did not have library, laboratory,playground, sports equipment, fire safety norms,administrative room etc, he said. Three months have passed since the Intermediate toppersscam broke exposing the affairs prevailing in the Board,specially during former Board chairman Lalkeshwar PrasadSingh’s tenure. Singh and his wife, ex-MLA Usha Sinha, have beenarrested in the case. A Special Investigation Team headed by Patna SSP isprobing the matter. PTI AR DKBKIS
