Uttrakhand orders police to seize EVM’s used in state assembly ellections

The recent disarray over the authenticity of EVM‘s (Electronic Voting Machine) made Uttrakhand High Court order the police to seize all the EVM’s used in the recent state elections on Thursday.

BJP swept the elections by winning 57 out of 70 seats in the recent state election. The court gave order a day after AAP alleged that BJP tampered EVM’s to win the MCD elections. The court gave this order after hearing the plea of Congress leader Navprabhat, who also alleged that EVM’s were rigged during the Uttrakhand elections.

After the elections in Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati also alleged the same by saying that BJP cannot win in UP without tampering or rigging EVM. She also approached the election commission and she appreciated election commission’s efforts to take probe in this matter.

Arvind Kejriwal has challenged the election commission on Wednesday and he said it won’t take more than three hours to tamper with all the EVM’s used during the MCD elections.
