Security forces in Belgium have successfully thwarted a terrorist attack after a suspected terrorist was shot dead by police forces at the Brussels Central train station on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the terrorist was wearing an explosive belt. Eyewitnesses at the station report of the terrorist shouting “Allahu Akbar” before detonating a separate, smaller explosive inside the station. The suspected terrorist has been identified as being a Moroccan national.
