BCCI lends helping hand to Nepal cricket

Date:

New Delhi: Nepal’s cricket might not be featuring in anyone’s priority list right now, but the BCCI understands that someone will have to step up to reconstruct all that Nepal has lost on that count also. Therefore, they’ve volunteered to assist the Nepali cricketers who have fallen prey to the deadly 7.9 magnitude earthquake that shook the country.

BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur proposed to help these cricketers in Nepal, by not just providing them with whatever they need, but also by allowing them to use India’s facilities so that their team wastes no time in sharpening their skills, and more importantly move on.

“In this hour of crisis, BCCI stands with Nepal cricket. We have offered our NCA facilities to them for coaching and training their players preparing for world events. Nepal has done well in cricket recently and we would like to support our neighbours who are emerging as cricketing nations,” Thakur was quoted by Times of India on Thursday .
