Amit Shah meets Dhoni for ‘Sampark se Samarthan’

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah along with Union Minister Piyush Goyal met Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni for the ‘Sampark se Samarthan’ (Contact for Support) campaign on Sunday.

Launched by Shah, the campaign is devised to generate awareness about the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government in the last four years.

The meeting took place hours after Shah’s speech against the Opposition following the name-change of the Mughalsarai Junction to Deen Dayal Upadhyay railway station.

Previously, under this campaign, Shah met former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev, playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, former Chief Justice of India R C Lahoti and Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, to seek support for the party.

Similarly, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore met former Indian cricketer Virendra Sehwag, while Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman, Tennis player Sania Mirza and former Badminton player Pullela Gopichand.
