Amid uproar in both houses of the Parliament, the leaders of the opposition held a meeting ahead of the proceedings in the Parliament on Friday. On Thursday, Lok Sabha was adjourned at 12:00 noon while Rajya Sabha functioned smoothly before lunch in presence of the Prime Minister while former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke in the house over demonetisation. Clearly, for now, no middle-ground solution is in sight as both sides stuck to their guns.
On Thursday evening Prime Minister will hold a meeting with the cabinet ministers at his residence.
