Fog in Delhi delays city-bound trains, flights due to poor visibility

The railway and airport officials said several trains and flights reached late to the city due to the prevailing fog in Delhi.  According to the airport authorities, all flights originating from Delhi arrived late at Chandigarh International Airport because of poor visibility at the Delhi airport.

The arrival of the flight got delayed maximum by four hours. An airport official said flights of Jet Airways, Indigo, Spicejet and other airlines from Delhi were delayed. The arrival and departure of the flights Delhi also got affected. The officials said the flights arriving in the morning were badly affected.

Meanwhile, the rail traffic is also not spared. Several trains that departed from Delhi early morning towards Chandigarh reached late to the city. A railways official said several other trains passing through Delhi and destined for several regions got affected because of poor visibility in Delhi.
