Salman Khan faces death threats, armed men reach Race 3 sets

Date:

In 2017, several death threats were hurled at Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone, for their controversial film, Padmavat.

And now, looks like Salman Khan is next in line. On Tuesday, Salman was in the midst of shooting for his upcoming film, Race 3, when dozen policemen rushed to the sets, and informed him that several armed men had entered the premises. Salman was quickly sent away to the safety of his Bandra residence, in Mumbai.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actor’s court appearance in Jodhpur, last Thursday, triggered threats by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who in court declared that he would kill Salman. Bishnoi, who had been produced in court, on multiple charges of murder, extortion and car-jacking, hails from a community in Rajasthan that worships the black buck. Several members even raised several protests against Salman.

The actor initially felt that he would be safer in Mumbai, rather than Rajasthan. However, the police warned him on Monday that three men had threatened to kill him as well. In addition, a group of vandals were expected to wreak havoc near his shooting location. Following this, Salman was given extra security.

Let’s hope this Tiger is safe from all the threats that are seen on a rise nowadays.
