Mumbai traffic police have decided to close down the Mumbai Western express highway from midnight to 5 A.M.
“The stretch is closed as the U girder for the Metro will be placed on Tuesday. We have made arrangements for motorists as one lane on the southbound stretch will be converted into a counter lane for motorists,” said Sanjay Jadhav, deputy commissioner of police, traffic.

The police have decided to shut down the highway from Pathanwadi circle to Times of India circle.
The commuters are advised to plan early before midnight to reach home by the police.
The metro work will take at least 6 to 7 months to complete.
Commuters using SV road will now have to use Mrinaltai Gore or Malad flyover to access the highway.
