Kangana to star opposite Hugh Grant?

Date:

She is known for her performances more than her looks, she is versatile and talented in her own way, she won two National Awards for her performances in Queen and Fashion and she is all set to rule Bollywood silverscreen. But then, she might not stop at that!

Well, she is the none other than Kangana Ranaut.

Kangana, who has worked with numerous Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan, Imraan Hashmi, R Madhavan, Rajkumar Rao and many more is all set to work with Hollywood star Hugh Grant.
With back-to-back hits like ‘Queen’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, Kangana has proved how strong she is at the box office and she is unique in her own way.

According to latest buzz, Kangana has given her nod to Ketan Mehta’s project, which will be a biopic on the life of the iconic Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, also known as the ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’.
A source close to Kangana said that the project will be an Indo-British production, for which Kangana will undergo heavy-duty training in horse riding, sword-fighting and other warfare skills for almost a year, before she starts shooting.

Confirming the news, Mehta said that he wanted to make a trilogy about the 1857 Sepoy Mutiny and that this film will be the second film in the trilogy after Mangal Pandey.
The film might have Grant playing the role of General Hugh Rose, who expressed a grudging admiration for Rani Laxmibai’s bravery in battle.

Currently, Kangana is busy with her upcoming project ‘Katti Batti’ opposite Imraan Khan and will soon be seen in a completely new avatar. The movie is directed by Nikhil Advani, the film is set to hit the screens on September 18, 2015. The two actors are playing a role of a couple that has separated after 5 years of live-in relationship, but as the norm in Bollywood is, one day they decide to fight all odds to reunite.
