Kangana Ranaut is all set to portray the role of India’s first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, in the upcoming film “Emergency.” Initially scheduled for a November 24, 2023 release, the film has now been rescheduled to hit cinemas on June 14, 2024, coinciding with the box office clash against Kartik Aaryan’s “Chandu Champion” on Eid-al-Adha.
Revealing her upcoming project on January 23, Kangana Ranaut shared a compelling poster dressed as Indira Gandhi. Zee Studios, the production house, announced the film, urging audiences to unlock the story behind India’s darkest hour, with #Emergency scheduled for a thunderous arrival in cinemas on June 14, 2024.
Expressing the significance of “Emergency,” Kangana Ranaut stated, “Emergency is one of the most significant and darkest chapters in our history that young India needs to know.
