The BJP has criticised the INDIA bloc’s rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, dismissing it as a failed show and claiming that a large section of the ground remained empty.
The party also alleged that people began leaving while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was addressing the gathering.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra questioned Gandhi’s claim that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were illegal and challenged him to produce a legal petition supporting the allegation.
“Show me the petition you have filed that 2024 election is illegal,” Patra said, arguing that election results should be challenged immediately after the polls.
He also mocked Gandhi’s remarks comparing the INDIA bloc’s vision of India to Shiv Ji Ki Baraat, warning that voters would respond differently in the next elections.
The BJP’s response came after Gandhi accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of involvement in alleged vote theft during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
