India reported 9,985 new COVID-19 cases and 279 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in the country now at stand 2,76,583.

1. 3,254 new COVID19 positive cases and 149 deaths reported in Maharashtra today; 1,879 people discharged today after recovering from the disease. The total number of positive cases in the state has risen to 94,041 including 44,517 discharged people & 3438 deaths: Maharashtra Health Dept
2. Delhi recorded 1,501 fresh coronavirus cases today. The total number of positive cases in the national capital rises to 32,810, including 12,245 recovered/discharged/migrated and 984 deaths.
3. The Rajasthan government has said it will seal the state border for a week due to rising cases of coronavirus. Only people who have passes can go enter or leave the state.

5. National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notice to Delhi Government and Union Health Ministry over serious allegations about COVID mismanagement including non-availability of beds, inadequate number of tests, increasing deaths, delay in last rites of the deceased.

Delhi Lt Governer Anil Baijal directed Chief Secretary to ensure all Hospitals/Clinics/nursing homes display availability of beds on LED boards outside their establishments, at entry point, availability of beds (Covid and non-Covid), charges including for rooms/beds and details of contact person for admission.
