In a major announcement, the ongoing lockdown in Delhi has been extended by another week.
Making the announcement, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “Corona still continues to wreak havoc. Public opinion is also that lockdown should increase. So the lockdown is being extended for one week”.

There is 36 per cent to 37 per cent positivity rate, which was not there before, the Chief Minister said.
The CM added that a portal has been started that will be updated every two hours by oxygen manufacturers, suppliers and hospitals for better management of oxygen supply.

India has already recorded 3,49,391 new COVID-19 cases and 2,767 deaths in the last 24 hours. Union Health Ministry data says that five states — Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Kerala — contribute 54 per cent of the cases.
