Rajasthan becomes third state to pass resolution against citizenship law

Date:

Days after Kerala and Punjab passed an anti-CAA resolution, Rajasthan assembly on Saturday passed a resolution against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act, becoming the third state to do so.

Several BJP leaders were seen rushing to the well of the house, shouting slogans in favour of the citizenship law as the state assembly passed the resolution.

Kerala was the first state to pass a resolution against a law on the grounds that it “violates the fundamental principles of the Constitution and it has great significance.”
