The Yogi Adityanath Government in Uttar Pradesh had just made an announcement to end quota based reservations in private medical colleges and dental colleges in the state. The CM has passed an order to do away with the quota for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Class.

The UP Government is also planning to revamp the education system in the state. Instead of class 6, the government schools in UP will now introduce English subject from nursery class.
The new BJP government in the state is also pushing for foreign language in the curriculum. It will ensure that students in schools learn at least one foreign language.
