There could be a new baby planet that our astronomers have discovered. It may be developing around another star.
A nascent planetary system lying 176 light-years from Earth, was seen from telescopes placed in Chile. The telescope is located on an altitude of 5,000m at the Llano de Chajnantor, a plateau in the Atacama Desert. It has antennas which captures radio waves from astronomical sources.
The new planet can be an ice giant. It is surrounded by a disc made of tiny dust particles.Astronomers no more believe that planetary systems follow a template set by 8 planets revolving around a star.
